This may be odd, but I find it easiest when I “know where I stand”. Like in a work environment, I know who’s on the same level as me, who’s a higher up, who’s below, and it helps. I find it easier to make friends with upper and lower class men as I know they either have more experience or I do, and so I understand where I am in relation to them which makes my brain easier to comprehend how to approach a person
