ARFID is a lesser known (or at least, significantly less covered by media, if at all) eating disorder. Unlike the more known anorexia/bulimia, the underlying reason doesn’t have to do with body image/weight. It can be due to sensory reasons, lack of interest, or fear of trauma-related consequence (like choking, not weight-related). It has some correlation to ASD/ADHD due to sensory/med reasons.

I don’t eat a lot of food because the texture makes me want to vomit. I was diagnosed by an anxiety specialist and then did an online therapy program called Equip Health.

I don't have arfid, I love food a lot, I think it's just an audhd sensitivity thing or stomach issues where it can just be a hassle every day to find foods that don't make me feel queasy or bloated at the right times of the day/"tastes like dirt" or are generally just appetizing in the house at the moment, sometimes its just easier to wait a few hours and then I can eat another pickle when it tastes good again lol
