Said this in an insta comment section before and got people agreeing so I wonder if anyone here feels the same way: I legit cannot text without sending emojis because I feel like people won’t understand my true text feelings if I don’t. Anyone relate?😭🥀

No yeah the time of thinking emojis are cringe is over. They’re literally the best way to convey tone through text cause everyone knows what they are. They’re just like lmao, omg, btw, etc but in image format. Just makes online communication easier and clearer

Emojis are a stand in for facial expressions and body language which would otherwise be lost in a text-based communication medium

Coming back to this to add that my girlfriend and I actually use a sort of emoji “language” for when I’m having trouble communicating what I need to with words alone
