Get a CO2 sensor, it's nice to be able to keep an eye on the air quality at home, especially if you have any gas or wood burning appliances!

Check your fire alarms please people and check those batteries, also if urs doesn't have built in CO2 and CO buy another detector for them

While yes. Definitely get detectors. CO2 positioning is different than carbon monoxide (CO).

The irony is that I don’t have anything like that…even the stove in the apartment is induction. However, I live in the basement of a bigger building, so it all sinks down to me

how did you go about your apartment management to fix it?

Opened up windows on each side of the apartment, and put a fan blowing air out in one. Created a low pressure inside the pull air inside through the other window and circulate pretty much all the air in the apartment. It’s not a permanent fix, but it’s a good air cleanse
