He anyone else ever experienced when people get more mad/upset at you over not being upset over something or is it just me? For example when I was a kid and I wasn’t invited to a birthday party it was somehow more rude of me to say I’m fine with not going

Yeaa, as a transgender person I’ve experienced my friends getting angry and calling me things because I don’t want to and don’t feel safe enough to fully come out and fight for my existence, like this is my journey not yours stfu I’ll come out when I want

When I realized fighting back/“talking back” to my parents wasn’t causing them to listen to me and it wasn’t helping the situation, I would instead give in by agreeing with them which for some reason made them more mad/upset and they would tell me to stop being a martyr. So I’m glad it’s not just me who has experienced this bc it truly feels like there is no winning.

I never understood that. It’s like when we give an explanation for something and we are told we are making excuses but we don’t understand how when we are literally answering the question at hand
