Literally took until I was 27 and in vet school to get diagnosed ADHD.. but I’m sure if I was a man I’d have been diagnosed when I was a kid

Yup. 27 and in med school. It’s a sad reality . But my brother is 40 and I’m sure he has ADHD but hasn’t been diagnosed d/o low SES and education

yeah fr they just tell girls to “focus better” or “sit still” rather than “hey buddy I think we should get you in to psych”

I think it was because I was it was so apparent with me, I went to a good school, and because I probably have AuDHD so everything was most likely amplified.

i got diagnosed when i was in 3rd grade but didn’t find out until i was in 7th grade and had to redo all the testing just to get put on meds (i would never have been diagnosed if it wasn’t for a sunday school teacher at the greek church clocking me)

I was diagnosed in kindergarten as a girl 😅

Almost 28, been asking for a diagnosis since I was 23/24… still haven’t been able to get tested. Sister was a teen when she was diagnosed but she has a lot of the “masculine” qualities of ADHD. She also has a lot more mental health issues that she had to get treatment for
