I totally get it dw- when I was little I would eat certain foods that I didn’t like to the point that I had to throw up bc my mom would force me to and it ruined my relationship w food for a while. I know she didn’t mean to but yeah looking back it was horrible.

My parents would tell me that I was lucky I didn’t live how they did in their country where their parents didn’t feed them if they didn’t eat what was made and they’d have to go hungry so I mean i understand where they’re coming from since it was different for them growing up- but yeah sorry for the rant

My work bestie is Ethiopian, she speaks Amharic and has taught me some really fun phrases!!!
