this is such a boomer-sounding take but Kids These Days will NOT understand the joy of the arcades we had growing up- the fucking card you swipe in the machine has got ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on the token dispenser and the tickets it spat out and the ticket munch and the voucher it would print to redeem your things :’)

100% much cheaper to operate and 100% makes them more money- it’s way easier to refill the card than it was to get more cash for the machine that gives tokens. it’s really just that damn nostalgia
