fr when i was a sophomore in hs there was a girl who was clearly autistic in my art class who was a year younger and was bullied in the way that they would have conversations with her and she would answer genuinely and then they’d walk away and laugh at her. sure she was a little dorky and very enthusiastic about her art but it was wrong and as someone who has experienced the same treatment before i feel bad for not standing up for her even though i’m not sure she realized.
