I’ve got a similar issue with some fandoms I’m in except my friends have expressed that they do not want to and will not play the games I want to talk about, but then when I try and talk about them all my friends do is shit on the game

I mean I do get it but kinda sucks how many times I get excited about something and then have to wait for permission to talk about it first and usually just hit a wall instead

I’m currently getting into X-Men, I wanted to talk about the animated show but couldn’t. In the past I’ve also gotten into a podcast that this friend likes, The Magnus Archives, got invested and learned spoilers but the friend fell off it about halfway thru so still couldn’t share that with them. Similar thing happened with Date Everything.
