My parents really should’ve known something was off when I was always extremely confused by people crying at movies, weddings, happy things, etc. and didn’t cry at either my grandma or great grandma’s funerals 💀

lol I used to think movies were real like if is a story of a couple of years that they took that long to shoot and would shoot chronologically

I’ve almost never been moved to tears or laughter by a film. Watching in theatres is kinda jarring cause I forget some people are really into it

Exactly!! Marley and me was so bad for me because everyone I was watching it with was SOBBING and I was sitting there thinking “the dog was a complete nightmare the whole movie, what are y’all doing??” Yeah it’s objectively sad when a dog dies anytime but come on 😭

Or when a character with a “redemption arc”dies and people get sad—I’m still fixated on the bad things they did previously in the story like “GOOD! BYEEEE”

“Boyhood” is a film that was actually shot over the span of 12 years as the actors grew, if you’d like to watch l something close to that idea
