Ask your doctor about nonstimulants! Completely changed my life for the better. They just take a little bit to work in your system unlike stimulants

I’ve been on all stimulants and non stimulants possible for ADHD. Some made me a severe insomniac (I already have insomnia but they exacerbated it), made me not eat for days on end and had to force feed myself and then would feel sick when I ate, made me violent and combative, made me depressed… and the non stimulants didn’t work at all. I’m back on adderall now and I just can’t sleep without taking a high dose of sleeping medication along with four Benadryl and some NyQuil. Not even worth it.

I’m planning to at my next appointment! I’ve just been toughing it out for the last year or so because of school and work but I can’t deal w it anymore, so gonna take a chance on something new!

Im literally doing so much better its not even funny. I did get easily cranky at first though but I was told thats normal as you adjust. It wasn’t anything crazy like having a melt down but just easily frustrated

That’s good to know! I doubt the “new meds” cranky will be much worse than the “i’m really anxious and sweaty and always a little out of breath” cranky, and the blood pressure going up would actually be good for me (POTS moment lol) so that doesn’t sound too bad

Certainly worth it for us who cant take stimulants! They make my heart crazy
