i’ve also heard a ton of people w tourette’s say that they have slurs as tics bc ppl in their life INTENTIONALLY try to make them have a slur as a tic bc they think it’s funny and i’m not good enough w words how i think these two things are related beyond just simply saying ableism but they are

i saw someone in a comment section online say “just a reminder that people’s tics only include words they use in their everyday lives” and i’m 99% sure it was just ragebait but it sent me into a blind rage i almost deleted instagram

and the amount of ppl who are “disability advocates” saying that kinda bs too like… babe that’s not how it works. he should apologize, absolutely, but pretending ppl choose their tics or stuff like that is just blatantly false.
