They actually don’t tell you what to study so it can be kind of hard to prepare.

Oh, I do actually have one. The way they word the questions are terrible. If they ask if something is a problem for you, and the answer is no because you have a system for it, that means that the answer is yes. Another example: there’s the question “people often tell me I am too blunt.” Now, if you know, that people perceive you as blunt, the answer to that question is yes, even if they don’t literally say it to your face frequently.

Also, also, a lot of assessments are based on old science or are designed specifically for children. So if they say you don’t have it, that might mean that you don’t, but don’t take it as word of God. Especially for autism if you are AFAB.

Thank you. I am AFAB and worry I will be misdiagnosed. Thankfully, I have a female assessor.

tbh if theyre even letting you do an assesment for autism thats prob a good sign. Im also afab and anytime ive brought up autism theyve laughed in my face and said there is no need to do an assessment 😭

That’s what happened to me when I mentioned ADHD. The psychiatrist told me I couldn’t have ADHD because I didn’t have severe behavioral problems as a kid 💀
