My dad said he didn’t understand how ai music was worse than using a synthesizer 🧍 he keeps using ChatGPT to generate pics using images of us and our home, he KNOWS I hate ai and yet thinks sending me generated cat photos is enough to prove it’s not evil

Nah I absolutely railed into my mom for putting my face through ai to generate the style of haircut I wanted (she was trying to convince me against it). Anyway got the haircut and everyone loves it so not only did she ruin my trust by putting me through ai after repeatedly telling her I did not consent to that, she was flat out wrong lol

I genuinely just freeze up and laugh it off when he brings it up because I’m too nervous to tell him how icky it feels but he’s heard me go on rants about how much I hate it being used in my school and how many times I’ve told my brother I refuse to use it ;-;

Gen X are obsessed with AI, both of my parents and everyone of that generation I work with are all in love with it. it's really weird and deeply depressing

older gen’s are so weary about getting their info stolen but have no problem giving identifiers to ai it’s crazy

Yaknow I really think a big part of this is they genuinely don’t know. The advertising and pro ai propaganda (esp from the gov) has really gotten them to trust it

Mine were too until they had this random but of what I can only describe as “Christian enlightenment” where they said Ai was bad NOT for all the issues it causes but because god gave humans creativity and Ai wasn’t made in gods image.😐 Like I’m glad they don’t love it anymore but we couldn’t see like…anything else wrong with it before then?

LITERALLY my older brother is doing cyber security, he’s so paranoid about everything and won’t give his info to anyone, has so many bs backup emails to never have to provide his real one, and yet he’s told me to just accept that ai is part of the future and has encouraged me to use it. Like what the hell man 😭
