This is going to anger people but pedophilia is not an aesthetic. A guy being attracted to a short/petite adult woman is not pedophilia. A guy being attracted to an adult wearing “child-like” clothing is not pedophilia.

liking smaller women is fine i think. liking something that is specifically meant to resemble a child is something else. is it true pedophilia? no. but it is fucking weird

it’s not pedophilia to like adults presenting themselves in child like ways but it is normalizing pedophilic imagery and we already have so much true pedophilia that it should be looked down on to do that

I feel as if no one is saying being attracted to petite women is pedophilia. What people do argue is the societal pressure for women to be smaller physically, plus the overwhelming preference of most men who don’t want “tall” women, combined with the wanting hairless GROWN women, women who are submissive, etc etc those that embody those characteristics of a child and the fact that society praises women like that over those that go against the status quo, is rooted in pedophilia.

Like you can find it weird but I really don’t think we should act like an adult being attracted to and potentially sexually assaulting an actual child is the same thing as two adults dating and one of them is a bit short. Come on now.

no its not pedophilia to be attracted to petite women. most petite women don't dress like children anyway. this way of thinking, though, is prevalent in a lot of spaces; the nsfw community, the "lolita" community, even some parts of kawaii / jojifuku / some specs of the harajuku community. "childlike clothing" can be a confusing factor in this, because what really is child-like clothing? i'd say you can tell people are baiting moreso from their actions. lets just not normalize it 🫩

Look I’m 20 but I look very young. I could easily pass as 15 or 16. People don’t believe when I tell them I’m 20 because I also don’t cake on makeup or wear revealing clothes. So when I have 27 year olds hitting on me when they don’t know me, yes it absolutely is pedophilia. (Especially when after that they harass a 12 year old girl.)

it's not objectively pedophilia but there is value in recognizing that if you are attracted to distinctly childlike things, or your partner acting in a distinctly childlike manner there is something wrong with you. @ ageplay people full shade

I very much agree with your first claim about short people, however I don’t know if I necessarily agree with the second. Anyone being attracted to another adult in children’s clothing is called baby-play, which is one of (imo) the closest things to pedophilia itself. You’re sexually charging a situation with someone who looks and acts like a child and I quite frankly think that has some implications. PS: I am not calling you a pedo, I’m just sharing my thoughts on the matter

I like this nuance. yes it’s theoretically non-problematic for consenting adults to do this, but the reality is that it spreads desensitizing to the topic

that’s not true. there is this one woman with proportional dwarfism on tlc and anyone that dates her gets called pedophilic.

Mhmm, it’s a weird slippery slope cuz I would 100% rather weird consenting adults do weird shit together if it’s not hurting anybody, but I feel like there’s a dangerous part where letting adults do their weird stuff makes doing those same things with kids feel more accessible 😕 which is INCREDIBLY problematic.

i got more compliments and sexual harassment as a 14 year old than i do now at 19. i hit puberty early, i was the same height i am now, boobs and all. the only difference is i lost the baby face and naivety. they didn’t harass me because i was pretty or “asking” for something, they were doing it because i looked like a kid anymore

I still have a baby face. So they all think I’m a kid and when they find out I’m not they’re like whaaa. They’re straight up preying on kids. It was a bigger issue when I was 17 and 18 but it still happens. And I know I look like a kid because I’ll also still have 17 year old boys hit on me because they think I’m their age

Ugh fr. I hate that I look like a child but am not one so I can’t call them out for pedophilia. The amount of people that were waiting for the day I turned 18 though. My 26 year old coworker was waiting for me to turn 18. However a few years later he hit on a 12 year old so I guess he no longer cares if it’s legal

Oh great job debunking a claim of something general by bringing up a singular instance on reality TV.
