I’m the opposite I was in the gifted program and tbh I don’t think i’m that smart

I got put in soemthing called the Duke tip program. I don’t remember ever doing anything with it though :/

I was in it until like 3rd grade and then took the test and didn’t get in. Did they test you for it, or just say it based on academic performance? Were any other students actually put in the program, or did your school maybe not have a concrete program? I think my parent had to agree to me being tested, could that have been part of it? Also i’m sorry, that does sound like a tricky experience

I would’ve qualified for it apparently but either my school didn’t have it or my mom decided to not put me in it I don’t know for sure which. My mom isn’t very reliable to get information from

it's very possible your mom just didn't want to put you in it. being in that program meant missing regular class so I know some people who's parents weren't comfortable with that
