the big thing is when our other dog is ready to come inside he'll come in without a problem but i'll wait a few seconds with the door open to see if mr ocd wants to come in and he'll just stare at me so i'll close the door and then he barks to come in literally right after i walk away (as if he needs his own door opening)

the other thing is every time he's ready to lay down and go to sleep day or night he'll walk a lap around the entire downstairs of our house before laying down somewhere it's hysterical

That is a strange behavior. I installed a doggy door for our dog so that she can go in and out as she pleases. She’s been having a lot of anxiety issues with my mom passing away last December so when my dad isn’t home she stays outside during the night. I thought about building a dog house for her so that she has her own little space.
