Lmaooo. It’s not debatable that current players are more skilled. Talking about the difficulty of scoring to say that the old era was harder again does not make sense. PACE has dramatically went up. Just because you had to stick to your man and force them to a mid range doesn’t make the era harder that’s what they were confined to. Yes everyone can watch the games they’re widely accessible. They did not crowd the paint, lanes were far more open dude to no zone defense.

New gen stay dissing jordan. Lil bro both jordan and lebrons careers are defined by “6.” Except for Jordan it’s number of championship WINS and LeBron its LOSSES 😂✌️

Yall say this as if this doesn’t make the Jordan argument worse. Jordan played in a physical but weaker era. LeBrons competition is leaps and bounds better

LeBrons competition is better how? LeBron didn’t play living in the paint and midrange with the most dominant defensive centers of all time as insane physical forces in the paint. What LeBron dealt with Dwight? MJ dealt with Hakeem, The Admiral, Ewing, Mourning, Mutombo, Shaq, Parish, and more.

LeBron plays in an era with far less physicality, where looking at him flip is called a foul when MJ was getting clotheslined. Where the floor is spaced to the extreme specifically to steroid juice offense and defense is forced to defend with a hand tied behind their back. Weaker era. Sure.

I wasn’t alive to watch MJ play, but being an actual major basketball fan and seeing people constantly talk about how much better things used to be I actually did my homework and went and watched tons of old games. Watched a lot of the old greats. The game now doesn’t hold a candle. Soft as people like Kat, Embid, Ben Simmons, Luka, and LeBron who cry after every play wouldn’t have been stars and all stars back in the 90s.

Why are you mentioning centers as if MJ didn’t play guard? Brother. And don’t do etc here bc thats the most talent the league had. There was barely anyone gifted skilled wise. Also due to rules that wasnt a reality go watch any vod of his games. That spacing that made the game easier you say…well actually it meant the paint was never stacked because there wasn’t zone and you had to follow people who couldn’t even shoot to their spots. LeBron is more heavily defended than MJ ever was bud

I’m mentioning centers because much of Jordan’s scoring came in the paint against highly skilled giants. That’s the most talent the league has? My god, have you studied basketball at all? Have you even listened to anything that the players that the current players admired have spoken about? Mark Price, Tim hardaway, nick van exel, Charles Barkley, Gary payton, glen rice, Alan Houston, Latrell sprewell, Reggie Miller, Petrovic, Stockton, magic, Allen iverson, bird, Pierce, Garnett, Eddie Jones!

Not even scratching the full list yet. My god man if you’re gonna talk basketball do some research. Did you flunk out of school? You have to actually do some research to get an A

And I’ve watched a lot of the games unlike you. I’ve watched almost whole season using subscription and YouTube, since my favorite team sucks ass right now. It’s completely true. You can only think they weren’t skilled if you haven’t watched an extensive amount of games and don’t know the context of wha the rules were. Most of yall don’t even know how the rules of being allowed to dribble and hold the ball have changed.

LeBrons more heavily defended when he just walks into most of his points? When guys like MJ had to actually have consistent relatable jump shots to get their points? When people could hand check so you couldn’t just look straight at the basket constantly? When people didn’t shoot threes a lot so the midrange and paint were far more often clogged and you had to shoo jumper over two people? When you were allowed to get physical so LeBron and so many others now could just foul bait?

The current MVP is being derogatorily referred to as a free throw merchant because if you watched him and Luka the other perennial mvp candidate and LeBron who they’ve modeled themselves after and so many others like harden they just throw themselves on the ground like babies and throw tantrums to the ref. Fuck talking about MJ, I can’t go back and find any players acting like babies and crying and holding their hands up to god like LeBron does. It’s pathetic and kills the game as hes been doing

I accidentally responded separately so look at that one. And you know this clogged paint bs isn’t true the game is played to the point where you HAVE to kick out because of rotation defense. Giannis and LeBron literally get wall defense played against them so there’s no drive. The fact players now can score at 3 levels builds on to that

And why are you acting like hand checking wasn’t also a big controversial topic on fouls. MJ literally got the most fouls and attempted much more shots and fouls than any player in history. He did the same rip throughs and arm hooks as today bro be real with yourself

And let’s not act like the 90s didn’t have the same complainers. They got into arguments with refs and the fact that it wasn’t as heavily publicized due to changes in social media doesn’t mean it didn’t happen
