It is and it isn’t, 100% I hear you but at the same time it introduces an entirely different chess match for both teams that adds more to the drama overall. Mitch Robinson is a key, essential player for the Knicks and needs to play, but he has one major major weakness. Other way to look at it from a Knicks perspective is depending on when Mitch is out there, Knicks will be in the bonus the rest of the quarter after four offensive positions

Yeah with Mitchell Robinson it’s different cuz he is so abysmal at ft’s but like I’ll hear the announcers be like “I don’t know if that was a smart foul” like no foul should be a smart foul

Well I mean for the most part terrible free throw shooters are the only the “hack-a-(insert player)” is used, but I mean fouling someone on a fast break drive to make what was a sure fire 2 points potentially 1 point, or fouling in the last two minutes for the first time when you’re at a defensive disadvantage I would say are both “smart fouls”
