it is a gift because harper would’ve genuinely changed the trajectory of a team who actually needed his talent like brooklyn or washington but he got gifted to a team who has the privilege of using the #2 pick as just a bench player

man what could a team like brooklyn or washington possibly have offered to san antonio for harper that woulda made any sense for them, he was seen as a generational guard, spurs got gifted wemby, then jumped in 2024 to get castle, then jumped 6 SPOTS in 2025 to get harper
