The fact that Kyrie Irving vs Chris Paul ever gained traction as a debate is representative of how little knowledge the average NBA fan has of the game. Not even trying to diss Kyrie, but it is blatantly disrespectful to act like he’s even close to CP3
Like as much as I love Kyrie he’s never even been close to sniffing CP3’s Playmaking and Defensive peaks, the only thing he has over him is Scoring and Handles

One of the 5 greatest point guards to ever play the game. IMO, he’s 3rd only behind Steph and Magic

How about Big O?

Extremely hard to compare a 60s player to a modern player, so I usually just give the benefit of the doubt to the modern player who’s doing it in a more competitive era of the game

And he’s like, marginally better at best as a scorer. Slightly higher volume, slightly worse efficiency. Meanwhile, CP3 blows him out of the water as one of the greatest playmakers and guard defenders ever, while Kyrie is below average at both for a star player
