idk if this is a fair argument but we should move the free throw line back and change the number of fouls to foul out to like 3 shooting fouls and 5 total fouls. At least the second one. We need to do something to stop this foul baiting bs

The foul numbers aren’t the problem. The refs consistently give the fouls to different people (who usually weren’t in on the play) to keep foul outs low because the league wants players to score a lot of points. Foul baiting got solved for the most part after James Hardens legendary bait run but they brought it back for embiid because he’s injury prone, people started watching more and the league decided to expand it to other players to which viewership still went up and so this is what we have.

They just didnt want to face the music that the warriors dynasty started its fall off which brought parity and therefore viewership

foul baiting is so much worse today than it was at anytime before. It gets worse every day. 2 days ago it was shai. yesterday a borderline star player who’s primary skill is defense dropped 83 50% of that was free throws because of fouls.

Idk about worse than prime harden foul baiting but… I do think bam was baiting but he was also getting fouled. It’s a line you have to draw and I personally draw the line at flopping

Foul baiting and just flat out actual fouls need to be stopped. Foul Baiting should be at minimum not called at max a tech and a fine. Defenders have it hard already but we can make it easier by punishing offensive players for doing stupid shit

I like this take a lot actually. Would also help to stop favoritism/hate for defensive players like Lou Dort or whatever player from the pacers guards Brunson. (I say this as a Knicks fan who would not shut up about fouling Brunson in the last two play off runs. Ik I’m the worst)
