Okay. But we’re not comparing what Bam did to Wilt. We’re comparing him to Kobe, and EVERY OTHER modern player who didn’t shamelessly push for a record. Most people never even cared about Wilt’s record, and saw Kobe’s as the one to beat. Now Bam beat it… but at what cost?

the record is who scored the most points in a game. bam scored 83 in a game, that gives him the number 2 spot. idk whats so hard to understand.

Yeah, but most NBA players definitely don’t even think of Wilt’s record. When they have a high scoring game they go “okay, maybe this is the game I can pass the legendary Kobe…” THAT is their target. Wilt is a bonus because his record is too inconceivable and old
