That’s very true. But it’s also important to understand that it’s normal for media to made sacrifices in historical accuracy for the sake of plot, aesthetics, budget, etc. Could Nolan have casted Greek actors? Yes! Does the fact that he didn’t make the movie bad or mean he made poor casting decisions? Based on my viewing of the movie, no. It’s also worth noting that he shot on location in Greece! So the film is not completely disconnected from the country of its story’s origin.

This is how I feel about sci fi/fantasy films that can’t set or follow their own in-universe rules or logic… like yeah, it’s all made up, but that doesn’t mean a lack of consistency or random change isn’t a little immersion breaking

I watched it expecting some of the historical stuff you hear online to take me out of it but the only thing that I couldn’t get over was Agamemnon’s armor. It went hard as hell but it looked like a modern supervillain rather than anything from the times

I completely disagree. None of the complaints take away from the story itself at all. It’s going to be a classic.
