I assure you my 10tb drive with 1000+ Disney movies begs to differ. I get collecting them for cases and whatnot but people downvoting me is kinda crazy. I’m able to watch whatever I want and I don’t have to contribute to the greedy companies? I don’t see the problem here.

Your claim is incorrect. Digital platforms can take shows away and in that regard I think it’s wrong especially if you’re paying for a service. When I pirate I own the file, I can put it on a usb or burn it to a disc. It’s mine forever and nobody can take it from me. As to the contributing aspect, you’re damn right im not contributing anything. Why would I pay money to people who don’t care about their own people? Disney just layed off 1000 workers who have been there for decades.

If you’re into collecting I get it, but people paying $15 a month for a service from a company that doesn’t care about their own employees or viewers is idiotic to me. I’m not under control from any bigger forces. Clearly you don’t know what it means to burn a disc or put it on a USB. Unless I drown my computer in water it is forever stored locally on my hard drive. I can watch it with no power or internet as long as my laptop is charged. And it seems you would run into worse problems considering your dvd player won’t run without power 😂.

It’s not streaming though? The file is stored locally. Also the point you’re trying to argue is completely irrelevant from the original topic. I’m not arguing, “streaming services are better”. I’m arguing that you can own as many movies as you want for completely free to watch whenever you want. I get collecting movies so you have a physical media but if you’re just into watching them it’s impractical.

You’re not contributing to cinema. Cinema has been a fucked industry for years that chews up and spits out people like it’s nothing. Also calling me a new gen is crazy because I guarantee I’m older than you. I was buying burned discs and copied VHS to watch at home. I also grew up playing NES and sega genesis. Sounds to me like you think you’re high and might for lining the pockets of greedy people.

You don’t get it. I own the movies I pirate and I can download whatever I want with them, I could make a 100 dvd’s of the same movie if I wanted to. As to contributing to cinema though, who is it you’re really helping ? As you can see below Disney doesn’t give a fuck about its own people, not to mention the amount of abuse in the industry. I only contribute to creators I feel are good people, for instance team cherry.

It is funny. I don’t give a shit what you do but the rise in getting out of you is hilarious. If you’re worried about contributing you can pay me $15 a month and then you want have to get 10 subscriptions. Or your ass can wait 2 years to get it on dvd 😂.
