So apparently J.K. Rowling (the author of every Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts book) is transphobic. I’m fucking speechless.

You can still enjoy the works even if you don’t agree with her opinions

Girl this is so old family guy has been making jokes about it for years. the reason people aren't talking about it is because it's already trended and passed😭 like it WAS big on the internet years ago. and now everyone's just used to it.

You def can if you don’t wanna give her money but ppl can interact with it however they can

idc if people like harry potter but if you’re still buying merch and the books and stuff you’re directly giving her money, and she uses that money to help fund transphobic organizations so…….

if ppl wanna still enjoy harry potter they can easily 🏴‍☠️ it 🤔

I wouldn’t say easily. Streaming services are easier for the masses. I don’t judge how ppl interact with it and what makes the happy.

Everything you buy stuff from likely donates to things you might not agree with. You gotta take the good with the bad but it’s honestly your choice what you do with your money and how you wanna consume the media you like.

maybe not easily but they still can. also imo i’m definitely judging bc u can’t say ur a “trans ally” and then give money to a transphobe who’s known to use her money to donate to transphobic organizations (also for someone reason she hates asexual people???)

We all give our money to horrible people. When you buy a loaf of bread, do you personally check whether it everyone who played a part in making that bread was not transphobic? All the factory workers, farmers, truck drivers, shelf stockers? Of course you don’t. You directly fund transphobes just as Harry Potter fans do.

dawg i’m simply saying that harry potter isn’t a necessity and you can simply just not give her money and go read something that’s better than harry potter

my friend, i think that #2 was just encouraging people to not KNOWINGLY give financial support to a transphobe/TERF. sure, maybe the local UPS driver is a transphobe but i didn’t knowingly hire him to come to my house. if i discover that the local bookstore owners are, then i just won’t be buying books from there. if the same happens with a local bakery, then i’ll find a new one. if the local candy store owner is racist, then i’ll take my business elsewhere & spread the word. we do what we can.
