I saw someone say that the wedding scene in Bram Stoker’s Dracula when Lucy simultaneously dies is Francis Ford Coppola doing the Godfather baptism scene again. Idc that it’s over the top I love this movie

I am also a longtime Coppola fan, so I am a bit biased 😂

The more I watch that film, the more I enjoy it. I also appreciate the fact that it is a mild homage to the early silent film era. Kind of in the vein of what Scorcese did with Hugo.

So true, it’s visually stunning and the practical effects are insane. It is one of the few gothic horror/ romance films that actually looks gothic imo. I’m reading the novel for class and I rewatched this movie and I was reminded of how much I love it

Most of the acting is top tier. The prosthetics and effects are awesome. Its full of pomp, romance, horror, lust/sex and ultimately redemption. It’s melodrama in the best possible way 👌🏽

It’s my favorite version for sure. When I read the novel I picture this cast. The acting is pretty top tier accept for Keanu Reeves’ British accent lmao. He delivers a good performance but his fake accent cracks me up every time. Still love him tho.

Hate to say it but he is the weak link in the cast lol
