to be clear i’m not saying a man could never make any of these movies well (though i would say it’s fairly rare) my point is that the demographic of directors that make these movies should be almost entirely women, not almost entirely men

I partially agree. I think if it’s written by women or from someone who actually understands women and doesn’t see them as sex objects, it can be good. What’s telling of a good writer is being able to write from perspectives that aren’t their own Regarding time, I’m assuming you mean time travel and with that, I disagree heavily. I love time travel. It’s so interesting when done right, but pretentious people gotta stop fucking with it

Breakfast at Tiffany’s and pretty woman, two of the best movies ever made about sex workers, were written and directed by men. I didn’t like Anora but it’s still good
