He’s an online film “critic” personality. Pretends to be drunk as he talks through movies. A defining feature is how he is anti-woke. Not all of his takes are bad, but he is a bit much, and he tends to analyze everything through the same lens. It also bothers me that he can’t seem to talk about movies without going beat by beat through the entire plot.

In terms of the like grifter film critics he’s actually fairly level headed; said ‘Yeah Andor’s a good show’ despite it clearly being against his political views, when all the other grifters were babyraging against it. He strikes me as intelligent and typically having some valid criticisms that get packaged with shitty takes that he has to include for the sake of his target audience.

That’s a fair analysis. He does generally seem to know what he’s talking about even if he gets to be a bit excessively redundant. He likes to recycle criticisms, but that isn’t inherently awful because a lot of movies he talks about have the same problems. As you say, his target audience has probably pushed him to relate everything back to politics. I can find that a bit tiring, but I don’t venture beyond him into the realm of “grifter film critics.” So I’m sure the landscape does get worse
