The reason why digger is gonna flop at the box office is the marketing was weird. You had a shriveled up cat among other strange things. Most moviegoers dont like strange films

Nearly impossible to market w/o acknowledging the twist. It has to be marketed as “cruise being goofy in a political satire”

I haven’t seen the movie so idk how I’d market it, but it does look like it’s following in the footsteps of others like Don’t Look Up and Mickey 17; these black comedy satires that are actually pretty surface level and kinda boring
