
as a major SU fan, it has incredible rewatchability because those “filler” episodes suddenly become filled with easter eggs that allude to later story points and hints at the main plot line. truthfully, a lot of those episodes are major keys to character development… even if they’re frustratingly placed with the least interesting/important character like Mayor Dewey.
i absolutely get what you're saying and I agree filler episodes are great for character development but i personally just need to be hooked in with the overarching plot from the beginning. Kinda like how in Gravity Falls, you're immediately hooked in with the mystery of who the author of the journal is.
