the photo on the post is the cover for the book though (a reissue from the film’s release, of course). it has andy weir’s name at the top in text as big as the title as has tags like “new york times best seller” and “now a major motion picture.” it’s also still a relevant post for this channel since OP is recommending the book to fans of the movie. this is all just speculation though. nothing too crazy.

Except that’s one of the first images that comes up when you google the name, and they didn’t say anything about recommending reading it at all, while no one else has posted something intending to talk about a book instead of a movie in this community like ever. They clearly posted it about the movie, you look foolish here

fair points all around, but it was unnecessary to say i look foolish. as i said before, it’s just speculation. i don’t it really matters whether he meant the book or the movie, but i respect your standpoint. i just wish you didn’t insult me. it’s very rude, but i guess that’s what i get for picking fights with strangers on the internet

I thought the book was alright and that the movie was alright too tbh, wouldn’t go as far as to say I didn’t like it. I just thought the beginning was boring/literally sleep inducing and def not a masterpiece. I liked the ending, it was more hope-core which ig is nice
