I would say Hamnet is more effectively sad

As someone who’s lost a father when I was very young, and a son who was far too young, Aftersun completely devastated me and accompanies my father’s haunting memory. Hamnet didn’t evoke those feelings at all, but I don’t think it was trying to. I fucking hated Hamnet either way though.
