(1/2) There’s people defending me in the comments of this post by saying I’m not that into movies for this (specifically #1 on that post’s replies) so lemme just say SHUT THE FUCK UP. I’m extremely into movies, but I’m sick of pretentious fucks pretending that these overlong European movies about cigarettes and communism aren’t just a total waste of time. It’s literally just homework for film schools and nothing else. I like some foreign/arthouse movies (Poor Things and City of God are both 5
(2/2) star movies from me) but most of it is just meaningless. And to OP, you do realize that by watching these niche ass foreign films, you’re taking away time that could be spent watching movies from actual underrated directors like Rian Jonson and Doug Liman, right? Not to mention Christopher Nolan and Martin Scorsese still have so many movies that I haven’t seen yet and if I spend all my time watching Who Killed Captain Adam, I won’t have time to watch shit that actually matters.
