obviously you’re allowed to like the movie and all, but is leaning about MJ a sign of quality in the movie for you, or are these just two separate statements?

I guess both? Idk lol. I’ve been a fan of his music for a long time but I never really knew a lot about him as a person. But even if I already knew, I’d have the same opinion.

if you think you would like the movie the same if you did know all that stuff about him as a person, then you agree that learning things about him don’t make the movie good. i’m glad we’re on the same page here, even if we disagree on the movie overall
