Nolan explicitly connecting the odyssey to its real life basis in the sea peoples was interesting but the execution was silly at times. I will say the first half of the movie I kept going “why are they still talking about the sea peoples, the sea peoples WERE the Greeks.” And then i realized that’s probably what they were going for.
