Superman was never getting in anyway despite the bias because it was a mediocre film compared to what is actually in contention. And pretentious foreign films? Really? Get over the subtitle barrier and you’ll have the world open up to you. Plus, two years ago was the first time more than a single foreign film was even nominated for best picture. Your argument is weak.

No need to be rude. I’m not calling your argument weak at all! Anyway, that’s just your opinion that it’s mediocre I think it’s a masterpiece like most people do in the west here. So I’d be surprised if it didn’t get a Best Picture nominee I’d say it’s likely to win, especially if they don’t nominate Sinners or One Battle After Another.

I’m not being rude, but I am telling you that you’re not being realistic. You can think it’s a masterpiece (although your claim about the majority of the west thinking so is just a bubble) however the Academy does not nor the industry. It’s nowhere near being nominated for BP. If you want a wildcard populist candidate it’s F1 or Weapons. There is also no world where One Battle or Sinners do not get nominated. One Battle has been sweeping most places and Sinners has been a pretty clear number 2.

Weapons? Reallt? BRUH!!! Horror movies never get nominated. Also that movie was ASS. It wasn’t scary it felt no budget.

Because you are unrealistic and clearly not taking it well. Weapons made PGA, will likely have Amy Madigan nominated, and is on the cusp for original screenplay. It has a better nomination package than Superman. You need to take your feelings out of this because this is not how nominations work when trying to predict. Plus, Sinners is a horror movie as is The Substance from last year. As I said Weapons is highly unlikely but a wildcard. F1 is the real one that could take the tenth slot
