some entertaining movies but they all lack heart

It's as if a 10 year old boy went to film school. I find the gratuitous violence and self-satisfaction in his movies hard to stomach but I also find it impossible to deny that he's a very talented director, steeped in the tradition of american film and capable of deep sensitivity and humor. He makes movies with mass appeal in a signature waggish impertinent style.

I think he’s overrated. He’s a great director but people act like his movies are cinematic masterpieces. He also seems to be racist and sexist.
