That’s not the full premise of the book, she left to go get help, she didn’t leave to just run away from the scene. I hate her too but come on don’t be this vague about a synopsis.

He died by succumbing to his injury she didn’t purposely drive off the road and she left to go get help . . . , plus Ik real life drunk drivers who didn’t get any time and I hate that shit.
