i’m not dying to see obaa win best picture or anything, but how is this delusional? pta is a fantastic director and he, along with the other filmmakers he mentioned have been snubbed way too many times

OBAA has literally won EVERY SINGLE precursor. Like Anora was a lock last year and they didn’t win as much as OBAA. It’s not about PTA’s history or other directors history it’s just facts that this is THE movie this awards season

Yes and the Oscar’s are basically completely influenced by the precursors. OBAA has won every best picture award at every precursor it’s winning the Oscar

the oscars are way more influenced by campaigns, but i agree otherwise. the main three movies that are bound to win oscars (obaa, sinners, marty supreme) are all so good that i mostly don’t mind any of them winning oscars over the others, though frankenstein and sentimental value are also bound to take some awards from them, and i just have to cope w that
