People are very dishonest about John Cazale. He was a fantastic actor but people act like he was the lead of all 5 of his movies. He’s in about 10 minutes of godfather 1, maybe 5 minutes of the conversation, and about 15 minutes of the deer hunter

The two movies he actually had a big part in (godfather ii and dog day), he was very good!

A character actor doing supporting roles and being very good in them does not make people dishonest about the actor. No one ever claimed he was leading them but he was in those films and took advantage of every second of his screen time. Anthony Hopkins was in 16 minutes of Silence of the Lambs; Darth Vader had 34 minutes across the entire original trilogy. Both still iconic.
