A lot of people my age (early 20s) seem to love kids movies (puss in boots, spider verse, Harry Potter) over movies seemed to cater to them. I wonder if it’s because they’re easier to digest or because they’re better made
it's because lots of people would rather experience something familiar and reliable than try something new and potentially be disappointed or have to pay attention to appreciate it

Ig if I had to be cynical, I feel like there’s still almost this refusal to grow up and engage with media that asks more complex questions of the viewer
