The government has minor shares/ stakes is multiple billion dollar companies, not trillions. It’s not controll, like you purport. Well that’s interesting, you say both that the government hasn’t bought any public companies but also acknowledge that they do own shares. You can’t have it both ways. But let me clarify, the government owns 10% of shares in multiple companies. 10% is enough to give them control and say in what happens at those companies since companies in the US are legally required to do what’s best for the shareholder.
