No Casablanca, Best Years of Our Lives, or Fantasia?

casablanca and best years are huge blindspots of mine lol. i watched fantasia as a kid i’m sure, but i really only know the key scenes. definitely need to see them all soon. really hope casablanca plays in theaters soon (it normally plays via fathom or flashback every year or so) so i can watch it for the first time in a theater.

Totally valid. Highly recommend. Also if you enjoy It’s a Wonderful Life, I definitely recommend some of Capra’s other works, especially Mr. Smith and It Happened One Night. Also give Fritz Lang a shot if you haven’t, definitely ahead of his time.

frank capra is my favorite director. i prefer his 30s work (it happened one night is my favorite movie oat) but the only signature film i haven’t seen from him is arsenic and old lace… saving that for a rainy day. also still have a lot of fritz lang i’ve yet to see. you’d be shocked at how many classic movies i’ve never seen. 2001, eyes wide shut, barry lyndon, do the right thing, there will be blood, se7en, and a bunch of other huge titles we’re all first-watches for me this year lol.

Not all that surprising to be honest. There’s a lot of movies, and not a whole bunch of time to watch them all, especially older movies, which I feel like are harder to find nowadays.
