as a lynch superfan, i don’t think that every little detail in his movies has a specific meaning but i definitely do think that there’s a method to his madness. i personally feel moved by his movies because they evoke something very visceral from me even when it’s something that’s difficult to explain or articulate. i think that there’s something powerful in that.

I think he just wants to make people feel things and interpret things. There's answers but they're not necessary to the process and he knew that.
