Wake Up Dead Man was my least favorite Knives Out movie. Took way too long for the plot to start moving away from religious movie to murder mystery imo

lol i loved this new one and i really don’t like the first two. it has a similar agatha christie/eight deadly shots-esque pace the second movie had, but it lays off on all the chronically online social commentary and actually has it revolve around relevant issues. i also just had so much fun with it. josh o’connor is a gift.

respectfully disagree, even though i missed the lighter tone of the first two this one had WAY more to say thematically and was easily the most complex of the murders yet, so i still loved it even if i think the original was a fair bit better

Wondering how the new one isn’t more chronically online with the social commentary than the other two when the guy who gets murdered is a priest who uses his online presence to spread hate. That’s the most cliche character someone could write in 2025. It worked, but until it felt like he died it felt like I was being forced to hear religious nonsense for an eternity.
