I honestly think marketing bc I didn’t see as many interviews for it as i did Superman and also just summer movies like the odyssey and spider man. It was a really fun movie but just didn’t leave as much to meme about or discuss afterwards on social media.

I saw some marketing, like a Supergirl billboard around time square and KFC doing some Supergirl promo meal but yeah probably not to the level of Superman did last year

Bad marketing, had mediocre early reviews, and honestly dropped at just an awful time it has been a really stacked summer and right before it was bunch of big films and right after was more even big films they shouldn’t have dropped it in the summer blockbuster slot while they’re still a recovering brand and it’s not one of the big hitter characters
