fwiw, I haven’t voted yet on my own poll because those are lowkey my dads and ranking one above the other almost feels like a betrayal 🕴️

I adore Twin Peaks but I've seen more Cronenberg films

come to think of it, I guess Cronenberg’s body of work (at least in terms of full-length feature films) is significantly larger than Lynch’s too. what’s your fave by Cronenberg?

Probably The Fly, but I also love Viggo so even though they're not his most Cronenberg movies I really liked Eastern Promises and History of Violence too.

I’m wayyyy overdue for a rewatch of both A History of Violence and Eastern Promises, saw those when I was younger and hardly remember anything about em. I def gravitate towards his more body horror / medical aesthetics / cripplepunk type of films cause I’m a freak for that shit, but I also really admire the fact that he demonstrates such range beyond that niche

I know I know, being prompted to pick just one or the other is like being sent to the Videodrome torture dimension 🙂‍↕️

Eraserhead and Elephant Man are two of my top movies, but Cronenberg is an OG titan in body horror films. Naked Lunch and Crash are insane

real! Eraserhead was the first artsy avant-garde live action movie to really strike a chord with me growing up, so that was life-changing. but Crash is on a whole other level for me, I am straightup OBSESSED
