letterboxd average ratings have lost a lot of nuance in the last two years or so, especially with new releases. i doubt i would like it nearly as much as everyone singing its praises, but it doesn’t really matter lol. art is not responsible for its reputation, nor your response to it.

I was totally ready to be horribly disappointed, but it exceeded my expectations. It’s fair to say that it’s over-hyped, but that doesn’t ruin it for me.
